This is an ideal career for creative thinkers. Account Managers or ‘suits’ manage the day to day dealings of the client account. You are the diplomats of the agency, bringing together the client with the relevant agency departments in order to create great advertising and ultimately achieve the client’s marketing objectives.

Environment and culture of workplace

Every agency is different, but they all have one common goal and that is to create great work that they are proud of.

The most successful advertising practioners are passionate about what they do.  It’s not a 9.00am to 5.00pm role. People work extremely hard but compared with many other industries it’s much more fun.

The culture is team driven and when it works, this creates a strong team spirit and sense of achievement. Success is celebrated.

The working environment is usually relatively laid back but if there’s a big presentation on, it can be stressful as everyone pulls together to get everything ready in time.
