This is an ideal career for analytical thinkers. A career as a biochemist involves the study of living organisms to advance scientific knowledge of all life sciences. Your work can include the identification of chemical and physical properties in biological systems, and aspects of the structure and function of these living things. Using chemistry and molecular biology, you strive to discover the biological processes in animals, plants and microbes.

Careernav has only outlined single degree courses and the minimum number of years of full time study required by the institution to complete the course – for example 3FT means 3 Years Full Time.

We acknowledge many courses are available with double degree, for example Bachelor of Commerce/Law and many students elect to study part time. It’s up to you to make the course combination and study time you feel is most appropriate for your personal circumstances
