Career Path Options

After a three year apprenticeship you can stay employed at a salon. Mobile hairdressing is an option, particularly for those who would prefer you coming to them, such as the elderly who are in retirement homes. With a modest amount of capital, positive attitude and a commitment to hard work you can start your own business.

Another option for a qualified hairdresser is of course working within the film, theatre and television industries, as is being employed as a sales representative of a hair products company, using your knowledge of products and persuasion and influencing skills to sell.
