Career Path Options
After a three year apprenticeship you can stay employed at a salon. Mobile hairdressing is an option, particularly for those who would prefer you coming to them, such as the elderly who are in retirement homes. With a modest amount of capital, positive attitude and a commitment to hard work you can start your own business.
Another option for a qualified hairdresser is of course working within the film, theatre and television industries, as is being employed as a sales representative of a hair products company, using your knowledge of products and persuasion and influencing skills to sell.

Did you know that because hair is so strong you could hang between 5,600kg and 8,400kg from one head of hair without it breaking (although your neck would not take it !).
