What is cMyOpportunity?
It’s a web - based profiling tool which uses established and proven tests to assess:

- Verbal reasoning
- Numerical reasoning
- Personal style
The assessment takes around 50 to 70 minutes to complete online. On completion, a student profile is created including 36 employability competencies, to provide the student with three reports:
- Strengths report
- Job options report
- Job fit and development report
These reports act as a guide to the careers the student may consider.

Assessment Instructions

2. Getting ready to do the assessment
- Have a good night’s sleep
- Do it when your fresh in the morning
- Bring glasses if needed
- The online system allows for colour blindness
- Tell us if you are taking medication that could affect your performance.
3. About the assessment
It’s done online at home for your convenience. The system will guide you through several tasks on a computer.

- By moving through the tasks, the system will build an accurate Candidate Profile of your ability and personal style.
- Before you begin, the system will help you to become familiar with the various items visible on your screen and how to use your mouse and keyboard to move through the tasks.
- Some tasks are timed and some untimed. The timed tasks are designed to be difficult to finish in the time allocated so do not feel discouraged if you do not finish.
- Each task is explained before you start and the timed tasks have practice questions before the actual task begins.
- Think of your Candidate Profile as a snapshot of your ability and personal style.
- Try not to get stuck on questions you do not know. Just do the questions you can answer and move on.
- On average the assessment takes 50 to 70 minutes to complete.
4. Who has access to my results?
- Both your privacy and the employers privacy are respected.
- We operate in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Psychological Society Code of Ethics.
- Access to the online system is controlled to stop unauthorised person’s seeing your results or accessing the employers network.
- CMyPeople will keep the data from your profiling session confidential. It can only be released to other psychologists or companies with your written permission.
- CMyPeople may use the data for statistical research. In this situation, any information that could identify you will be removed.
5. How do I receive feedback on my results?
- Careernav will phone or email a time for a psychologist to talk about your results.
- After your Profiling Session you will receive your Strengths Report which highlights your strongest competencies.
- You will also receive two additional reports which indicates the ‘careers of best fit’.
6. How much does it cost?
- cMyOpportunity psychometric assessment including clinical psychologist validation and three reports costs $249.
- It’s a little more expensive than others but its professionalism, depth of insight and self understanding it delivers is impressive.
